DENIM FOR EARTH
On the occasion of Earth Day 2021, we developed a sequel to last year’s #DenimForEarth project. This time we invited artists & designers to create denim couture inspired by textile waste and sustainable denim innovations of G-Star RAW, proving artistically that denim – one of the biggest polluters in the fashion industry - and sustainability can go hand in hand. Wendelien Daan photographed these unique designs in her distinctive style. The resulting artworks were on show in a digital gallery of the MOCO Museum and during the open-air exhibition 'DENIM FOR EARTH' (22 April - 9 May) on the Rembrandt square, in the heart of Amsterdam. In collaboration with MOCO Museum x Studio Irma we added an extra dimension with an unique Augmented Reality experience, bringing the exhibition to life.
